All clients of my services and visitors to my website are treated with the utmost respect, integrity and ethical behavior.

Personal information (name, address, phone, email, credit card information) are considered private, at all times.

Use of Private Information
Bj King-Taylor and bjcounsels.com’s primary use of clients' Private Information is the provision of professional counseling/coaching services, online, on the phone, 1-on-1 and in groups.

If you provide your credit card information, your credit card number, the name on the credit card, and purchase information is provided to the banking merchant through Paypal or Professionalcharges.com. This is necessary to complete financial transactions.

Protection of Private Information

Client Confidentiality
All Private Information provided by clients is kept strictly confidential in accordance with professional codes of counseling/coaching ethics. bjcounsels.com will not share client Private Information with any third party, with the following exceptions:

• Supervision. Described in FAQs
• Personal harm, child endangerment, elder abuse, court subpeona or collections. Described in Privacy & Technology

My ability to fulfill my obligations as described above is limited by the information that you provide to me.

Security Precautions
I protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of information under my control.

You are encouraged to use all methods available to you to protect your information from loss, misuse or alteration on your end. See Privacy & Technology.

I urge clients to clear their email and internet cache after communicating with me to limit the possibility of their actions being tracked by a third party.

Bj King-Taylor and bjcounsels.com do not warrant the security of confidential material that becomes insecure because of actions clients may take or that is a result of software that bjcounsels.com did not supply. Examples of security breaches that I do not warrant include, but are not limited to:

• leaving confidential material on a computer screen for others to see
• storing confidential material on the computer used by a client
• use of monitoring software (for example, by an employer)

While I strive to protect clients' personal information, no data transmission over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure. Thus, I cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information during transmission to or from my site, and clients submit information to me at their own risk.

Storage of Private Information
I store records containing private information for a minimum period of 18 months and a maximum period of seven years.

Other Uses of Private Information
I will never use client Private Information in any way other than the purposes stated above unless client consent is obtained to do so. Clients will never be contacted directly by any third party as a result of their relationship with bjcounsels.com unless clients have given appropriate permission to do so.

Use of Demographic Information
Demographic Information (such as age, occupation, region, etc.) may be used, without client consent, to generate statistics and aggregate reports for internal use, which may be shown to affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, successors, and partners. These statistics and aggregate reports will not contain any Private Information and clients' identities will be kept strictly anonymous.

Clients Urged to Update Information
Clients are asked to update their demographic and contact information whenever changes in situation occur. Failure to do so releases me and bjcounsels.com from any ethical/legal obligation to warn of life threatening situations. Inaccurate or outdated information also releases me from any civil obligation to inform or provide services.

Policy changes

bjcounsels.com reserves the right to change its privacy policy without notice at any time. However such changes, if made, will adhere to all pertinent legal and ethical specifications. If changes to my privacy policy do occur, I will post those changes on my website for clients to review.

Hyperlinks to third party websites

All hyperlinks from bjcounsels.com’s Website are screened for appropriateness and for compatibility with my ethical standards. However, I have no control over the third parties whose hyperlinks I allow on my site. These third parties may change their website content without notice. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites, the third parties named therein, or their products and services. Clients or visitors who link to any other site do so at their own risk and bjcounsels.com will not be responsible or liable for any damages in connection with linking.
